Lionel and MTH locomotives on train layout

Lionel SD70ACe (6-28262) and an MTH AC4400CW doing the hard work on my O gauge layout. Atlas O track.

If you want to paint the rails brown, I recommend ACE Hardware paint, color "Chesterfield F58", interior/latex/flat. Use 2 coats.

Agreed. Lionel did a nice job with the engine and sound set. I like the sporadic steel wheel on rail rubbing sound.

Tom- the MTH part no.'s are 30-11076 (people), 30-11077 (bikes), 30-90126 (diecast bikes -not mine). You can order at westerndepot. c o m or get other shops off the MTH website.

I believe you mean "MTH Realtrax" ("Fast track" is Lionel's product). The answer is yes. You'll want at least the "O-42" curves so that larger engines will run smoothly on them (part no. 40-1042).

The MTH engine is a dummy unit. It doesn't have anything in it.
