leyburnhealeyman, with 5 axis you can have a much more effective toolpath/ cutting conditions. And ofcourse far more shapes possible.

a correction should have said 4 axis, sorry hit wrong tit.

only needed 3 axis 25/30 years ago, and that was with tapered everything, except vane thickness,so much for progress! Very little computer power available then either.
