@branchingvine An interesting point of view but it still doesn't explain things like cancer or unnecessary and perlonged, purposeless pain and suffering. The Universe may well be working its way towards some goal but I wish it would get on with it or find an easier way of doing it.

Not all the flowery and poetic is "good" for you...the flowery, and poetic is a PART
of the deception...even the Serpent was flowery, poetic, and superintelligent.

If the higher intellegence is so intellegent then why did it create things like germs and insects that plague us, decay, and death?

@lawshorizon Well...most men think we should live forever in our physical bodies, but there is no indication, either in any religious texts or just what may be gleaned by natural observation that this should be the case. Germs and insects actually help in the decay process so that all things can eventually return to the soil rather than stacking up...that would be a mess!!! So it's nature's recycling program and way to enrich the soils ect.
