  • "the Nicklaus lift" if you will! is this only recommended for those who struggle with length of arc? i seem to lose my hub if I get my left heel too much off the ground and strive for more range of motion? i feel like this causes me to load too much on my right side, instead of achieving that "bounce" off the right like you recommend? I enjoy your concepts and your thoughts would be much appreciated!

  • @steckleinjr The front heel comes off as a result of a turn; you are not focused on making it lift, you are letting it lift; see a very important video called "golf pro lesson ridiculously easy" part 1 and 2 as well as my "golf pro lesson allow the arms to swing," "golf pro lesson arm swing body turn", "golf pro lesson stop crashing" and "golf pro lesson top view of swing" Shawn

  • This "backhand" feel has been the best sensation for my swing. Ive looked at most of your videos and always come back to this video. I didnt realize why...but I swing right handed, and write with my left hand, so I think the left hand is dominate in my swing...It feels very natural. Thanks so much! Would you recommend any more vids for the backhander?

  • @devosooner All my videos are for both the backhander and the forehander; especially the last 30 videos; if you go to my home page on you tube and work your way back 30 videos, you will get a ton! Even the hammer videos! Use your non dominant hand and you will feel the same and be able to understand what I am saying; it helps my backhand swing big time! Shawn

  • contd I know Bubba watson and Mickleson are superb players, but they are amazingly talented individuals, who don't hit it straight. I mean Bubba doesn't ever hit it straight. Id think for us amateur wannabes more conventional straight hitting swings are surely going to be better role models eg Luke Donald. I know I'll get slaughtered but Im convinced restricting hip turn has been a significant part of my improvement. Maybe its because Im very flexible-I dont struggle to complete backswing ever

  • @cockywatchman1976 The reason why Phil has been hitting it more sideways with Butch IS BECAUSE BUTCH IS RESTRICTING HIS HIP TURN; what you don't understand is that your overswing has everything to do with you USING THE ARMS AND PLACING THE ARMS IN THE BACKSWING instead of USING THE WEIGHT OF THE ARM-CLUB UNIT TO HIT THE SHOTS; see "golf pro lesson feel and let the hammer through" and "golf pro lesson feel your swing plane" Shawn

  • It's interesting this X Factor vs Non X Factor debate. I love your videos they help a lot. But I must admit my pro has helped me a great deal by limiting my early hip turn. It feels like I really restrict it, but it still moves lots when I see it-it just stops me overswing, keeps me tighter and I know iget more power and accuracy-for sure. I agree no hip turn is not right, but I think calming it down is gonna help for many overswingers-it just makes my swing more controlled

  • Aha, you look Phil Mickelson because of the turn and heel! :-)

  • Why is it, other than the left hand swing, that you look so Phil Mickelson?? :-)
