Decided to test the new 2011 CNC MAchine with Mach3 controller software.

I tried it a few years ago but stuck to Kcam as it was easy for beginners and cheap.

Mach3 is more expensive, but I must admit I am impressed with the software and even more impressed on how it ran the machine.

Pushing it to the limits using the small cheap motors we could get it upto 4200mm/min travel with just a little bit of jamming here and there. But in real life you are never going to run the machine at these sort of speeds !!

  • Nice info.

Are you done with the Muller motor?

  • Dear Seacrhing2008 I need to comment your comment:) 4200mm/min travel you can use in real life for jumping from point to point to execute such drawings etx where you have to rize Z move the axi and then down Z again to continue milling stage. This is grate speed! You made grate job Sir!

  • not only it self but other even bigger copy of other type of CNC and etc:) Most good word here is "ETC". If you have CNC and you are good engineer you cant sleep well to know that you have "redruduction" Robot at home:)

  • This would be really cool if it could make copies of itself....
