After the fall of the Berlin Wall, hundreds of thousands of ethnic Germans from Russia came to Germany and gained German citizenship. Unfortunately, many have not really integrated into their new home. They often associate only with each other, speak German poorly, and some get involved in crime. We show how ethnic Germans from Russia live today, the problems they face and what hopes they have for the future. Report from a district in Detmold, North Rhine-Westphalia.

Hannoi- it's popular to bring up Hitler as not blonde. He was Austrian. As for the other Nazis, please consider whether their ancestry was Southern German. The Nazis wanted to unite a Germany that was cut up regionally. They tried to reinforce nationalism but in reality, there were regions. A majority of Germany is fair complected.

Berkut1986-they may not all be blonde, but now it's popular post WW2 propoganda to make Germans out to be not fair or blonde or Nordic. That's a fallacy. Bavarians are certainly darker as South Germans but the rest is fair. And Germany is now multi cultural.

because of this anglo-american-jewish obsessive mass migration that has taken place over the past fifty years, we as north western europeans are slowly being killed off, and in our own indigenous land too! all manner of reasons have been used for immigration, the main one being that it's supposedly good for the economy. Germans are not nordic as much as they want to present themselves to the world. They are not as much tall as they claim. I have been to Germany many times and there are a lot of germans with light black hair and brown eyes who don't have a turkish or south european grandfather but are pure germans.

@Hannoi you don't have to be blonde to be a nordic. you can be light brown haired. but as long as you have nordic features, you are as nordic looking as max von sydow! example. just look at arno friedrich who plays football for germany. he is as handsome as they come. but isn't blonde. he has light brown hair, ice blue eyes and is the most handsome man you could ever come across.
