USAF Honor Guard-Typical Day

A good example of a typical day in the life of a ceremonial guardsman. With two to three funerals a day, we still found time to laugh. We never forget why we are there.

Ahh, the side of the HG most people never get to see. The rides on the detail bus, hanging out at the rec center, and of course a right of passage, the imfamous JEEP beatdown. They usually only see the picture perfect picture backdrop. Well this is a way we made it throught the 100 degree days, the freezing rain. The hours of standing still and looking pretty.  And no matter how hot, cold it was or however many hours we stood there, it was all worth it.

lol wow its actually pretty nice to see that you guys are just as human as us high schoolers. mirror image of our AFJROTC unit here. Im on the drill team and am the first sgt here, in charge of color guards. i understand what this video is about, dont let the others get you down. i thinks its important the public see that while the honor guard endures almost super human conditions at times, they are still human and can relax. and even despite they're relaxation, they always bring their upmost

JROTC is kind of gay..the AFHG is the real deal, JROTC is a complete fucking joke! and fuck all of u haters.. ON THE JOB we are professionals.. any other time we're human just like everyone else! anyone not in the honor guard posting shit that they dont have a clue about is annoying the hell out of me

ive been in the honor guard for almost a year now and this is a pretty good video of what goes on outside of the job.. Though we do NOT work til 11 at night wtf. We're usually done by 1600.. And that was pretty cool you got that getting beatdown.. nowadays they hold you down and MAKE SURE they rip off ur collar haha i remember that day.. FIRING PARTY HUA lol.. this is A1C Watson by the way.. i dont think i recognized any1 from the video but o well people come and go in the guard..
