reincarnation is not, I repeat, not paganism, it merely expands the sheer beauty of the power of the creator in our original relationship with our earthly incarnation. Christianity searches for immortality of the soul then denies anyone who's actually had an NDE (soul release and return to body) which is a theological oxymoron without logical or critical analysis. No matter how hard I've tried to communicate with church elders or followers, they remain asleep.

reincarnation may sound completely at odds with Christianity in its current form, so I don't debate with Christians about it. I have experience, they have dogma. If we really do our homework and get a copy of the Papal edict 1996 regarding the whereabouts of heaven and hell from the Ecclesiastic point of view, they have changed their 2,000 year old view on this topic which opens up for further mature discussion and theological debate on the pre existence of soul prior to incarnation?

@azascan The reason I mention the NDE is I've one myself, an accident. I have spoken with many, many ministers around the world of which tried to project onto me that "I was somehow delusional". I could choose to get offended, but didn't. I read the bible four times after my NDE. I was an atheist prior. I do challenge the church on fundamental theological principles of where "heaven and hell" are though. I've asked for an audience with the Pope also. I firmly believe in reincarnation now...

You really want to sift through the thousands of people who have suffered an NDE near death experience to broaden your experience from just the bible. over 1 million NDE's a year in the U.S. alone. Many see their families or passed loved ones, they aren't practising pagans? I discern between rites in paganism (open to further interpretation) and actual real experience . There are "dead" people down here (in spirit) also, so it's open to interpretation

@johnscottartist paganism being the same religion passed down thru time from Babylon to today....the religion of communicating with familiar spirits or ones relatives....Jesus said the dead know nothing are unconscience until the resurrection, paganism being the religion of human sacrifice ,sex rituals,idol worship,and pantheism. And Biblicaly Christs bride is his church and in the Bible the word woman symbolically represents the church. And the whore of Babylon is the Roman Catholic church

I would suggest reading John Allegro's The mushroom and the cross, if one wants scholarly historical context of today's Christian faith. Context is vital in understanding human relationship with the earth and of course each other. Jesus needs to be put into a new mythological lime light, rather than an historical literalist view IMO. Defining who is and isn't a Christian isn't my job, there seem to be so many different "groups" claiming divine sovereignty, without seeing spirit in all

Paganism is also a very broad term, given the origin of Soma cults using amanita muscaria in the middle east of which Christianity is a part of. One draws a long bow when using that word. @johnscottartist the vatican also outlawed the reading and owning a bible by death and up until the 1970s was considered a mortal sin..the vatican thru the jesuits via the inquisition during the reformation tortured and murdered millions of bible beileving christians..THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PAGAN CHRISTIAN MIX.ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE THAT IS NOT CHRISTIAN... the RCC even officially holds mary as concieved emmaculatly and worthy of divine worship...JESUS NO ONE BUT ME

get hold of the 1996 Papal edict, it stated clearly that heaven and hell was down here on earth and was one's personal relationship with the creator right here, not with a group or church. The Pope further stated that they didn't know what happened after literal death. A ground breaking change in their 2,000 year old doctrine, why it's important is 36,000 breakaways from the Ecclesia still hang onto the same old doctrine. I had an NDE, there is no hell on the other side, it's here on earth.
