Tom Hayden has been called the single most important student activist of the 1960's. A leader of the anti-Vietnam War movement, he was one of the 'Chicago Seven' arrested at the 1968 Democratic National Convention and later put on trial. Forty years later, Hayden is still an activist. He served as a California state legislator for eighteen years and he continues to fight for issues he feels strongly about. His latest book is called "Writings for a Democratic Society: The Tom Hayden Reader".
