  • @codename617 A vampire is the perfect metaphor for a pedophile. Anybody who has had a sexual desire for children would understand that. Their youth, innocence and vibrancy is part of the attraction, and even the very smell of a child provokes a response, veyr much akin to a vampire smelling blood.

  • It's not out of context. Dave is using Vampires as a metaphor to describe child molestors. Maybe if the whole scene was in this clip then maybe that would help. Or maybe reading the book would most certainly help with the understnading of Dave talking about Vampires while watcht the JAmes Woods movie by Carpenter. I think it owuld certianly help if you were the kind of person who looks outside of the box more often and weren't such a simple person.

  • @TenaciousC89 I know, gourdonj doen't kno what good films are!

  • This scene is hardly out of context. It sets up the detachment of Dave's reality due to the events of his childhood as well as his dissolving relationship with his wife and her fear of her own husband.
