This video is in HD (1280x720) recorded from screen using HD video camera.

If you have an 8800GTX goto your NV control panel and set 'max pre-rendered frames to 1' textures on medium (high will lose frame rate) you can also turn off 'clip-capture' under 'game' also a fast CPU will make all the difference, Quad core recommended.

Set your distance to under 20, shadows low, render quality to high, traffic to about 20 (any more is too crowded) detail-distance can be very high if you want and get some new NV drivers!
Stop any anti-virus programs, stop resource hogs etc and have fun!

  • Hi, great video! though i have problem finding "max-pre-rendered framrates 1". in NV control panel i have -3D settings -Display -Video & Television. I think i need to update my nvidia control panel, but where (recently downloaded new driver and didn't get any new) also have advanced enabled in Nvidia control panel.

Think 30 fps with Intel duo 2 core 2.66 Ghz, 8800 gtx 768 MB and 3.3GB 1066- Mhz computer should have that fps and still lag.. ?

    Thanks in advance!

  • I'm not sure where that is now... anyways i have a ATI HD4870x2...and guess what? it stutters/lags...going to post a video about it now

  • Do you think I will be able to run it relatively well?

    5000+ @ 3.1GHz

    2GB DDR2-800 RAM

    8800GT OC

    1280x1024

  • yeah it'll be fine... if you use vista turn off 'aero' right click my computer > properties > advanced system settings > click 'settings' under performance and choose 'best performance', that will help a lot, you can use a faked AA by pressing 'p' during play if you like, get the latest drivers, patch for GTA-IV soon.

  • can u use a mouse and keybored

  • yeah, great for shooting... joypad for driving.

  • I have E6600@ 3Ghz, 4 Gb ram, 8800GTX

    Windows XP version wolf 2

    1680x1050

I think this game will be run well with my spects :D

  • Lawl, you say you get nice FPS on these settings on that video card, allright, might be true, but remember, people do not have the same systems as you do, this game isn't very GPU limited but CPU limited, people with a Core2duo of 1,8Ghz or P4 of 3Ghz+ will have with a Geforce 8800GTX alot less FPS then you might do,some options are asking lots from the CPU like vieuw, detail, vehicle, you cant say it will run like that on everyones system

I advice to disable shadow, ugly, major impact on GraphicCard
