  • A deity that sends to people to eternal hell yet "loves" them so much is ridiculous.

    Atheist

  • Agree 110%. I've been trying to find any biographies of this angry little man. He would be a psychiatrist's dream come true. I can't imagine what could have happened to him to turn him into tin god unto himself. My only other thought is a serious mental illness. Many schizophrenics become obsessed with religion.

  • the doctrine of eternal punishment hangs on one greek word{Aion}, which has been rendered eternal/everlasting/forever, a closer study of this word reveals that it has been horrendously abused by the translators, Aion and its derivatives aionion/aionios means age not endless time, but unfortunately the traditions of men are more important than the truth these days, the bible is full of metaphors/parables/analogies which the spiritually blind read as literal....so sad

  • @phaxad You obviously believe God is as petty and small as humans, to be limited to the human sense of justice which, because it *is* human, is imperfect. God is much greater than any of that. He is perfect. Sorry you can't see it... Step back a bit and it might come clear.

  • the sad thing is this is is totally sincere but aparently doesn't even know what his own doctrine is

  • Go to a church that has a prayer group and believe In praying, serving and loving one another.Every Christian needs a prayer partner

  • @phaxad I find it amazing that you would think God's sense of justice is as flawed as the human sense of justice, which is based in limited understanding. I hope someday you'll learn about the Power of Total & Complete Understanding and Love. Until then, you will continue to assume God has no more comprehension of human psychology than we do, of no more understanding of His own creation that people do, and therefore will continue to believe He is petty, hateful, and short-sighted.

  • great sermon, keep up the good work.
