The Virtual Blue Angels own Bob "Kato" Tyler is proud to present the Boeing F/A-18C Hornet cockpit with USN Blue Angels modifications for use with the 2011 Virtual Blue Angels team mod! The images in this video do not represent the final version of the cockpit but rather a pre-alpha build for testing and evaluation by the team members.

Detailed Geometry, HUD, Animations, Digital Display Indicators, Textures and Flaming Cliffs 2 mod by Bob "Kato" Tyler.

Canopy Geometry/Textures by Aaron "Beaker" Vanada

Initial Geometry by Tom "Racer" Mihelich

  • @supertomcat The switch with the covered toggle switch to the left is an on/off switch for the inverted fuel pumps, one of the many modifications that the Blue Angels do to their Hornets.

  • Can you expand a little about the function of the instruments on top of the glare shield on either side of the HUD? I see the stopwatch obviously, but not sure what the other stuff is for and Ive always been curious...

  • man... this is more than amazing.....

  • @Aviationsim4862 We only perform using Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2.

  • @bilobiu Cockpit is not for public release.

  • This is incredible! Great job guys! Do you preform on Vatsim? Or just the Lock On Flight Sim Client? It would be awesome to see an airshow like this on the Vatsim network for an event!

  • Flying "Dirty"

  • Just out of curiosity, but what is the name of the group that did the music. It seems awfully familiar.
