Bike Fuel Protest Ride To Edinburgh

This was a motorbike fuel demo ride from Kinross to Edinburgh. Dated 28th June 2008. We were on a bridge over the M90, as the bikes road convoy-style towards the Forth Road Bridge, escorted by the police. We counted approx. 219 bikes, others joined later as they entered Edinburgh City Centre. It was really exciting when they all started blaring their horns, lol.

Sorry about the shakey camera work. We were all waving as they passed.

If everyone was to co-ordinate a multifill campaign that would get the governments attention. The idea would be to agree across the nation for everyone to fill up their tanks, full on a certain day. If the supply chain can be thrown off it will have an effect. Imagine demand peaking on a friday. Everyone would have a full tank, and petrol stations would run dry, since supply wouldnt keep up with the demand.

Houndreds of bikers felt inspired to stand and be counted, they all agree that the government targets the motorist as a soft target when it comes to tax. We are sick of being treated like a cattlehead and that more protests are being planned. If enough people take to the streets they will have to listen. to the small people. Egypt and Tunisia are a clear domonstration that people power has an effect. The british people have the power to shut their governments down
