well known in ft. worth no doubt but he deserves serious respect!!! Watched him and a bunch of guys play a tribute concert at McDavid studio for Mike Cotham, discoverer of the Doobie Bros
An interesting little story: Bill showed me a Record of his family and him when they were just young kids. He said they had a gospel band and they would just travel out and play
Bill Ham is another one of them fabulous unknown guitarist. I've been checking him out since I was eighteen (I'm fifty now), and he has always blown me away. Defitely a world class player, adept at all styles from Chet Atkins, to Hendrix, Lenny Breau, Allan Holdsworth, or Eric Johnson. Can sing his ass off to boot. I don't why he isn't recording and gigging around the world?
WHY IS HE NOT FAMOUS???
