Actually, it's kinda offensive to say you are an African-American if your parents, grandparents, their grandparents and so on were born in America. If your grandparents grandparents was born in Chicago but everyone after that was born in New York, doesn't that make you a New Yorker? Or does that make you a Chicago-New Yoker? Haha!
