This is a video composition of a design completed for the Illinois Institute of Technology's Community Based Studio in the Fall of 2010.
The proposal is to place a dam in the Chicago River to prevent the spread of Asian Carp into the Great Lakes, as well as create wetlands in the lake at the mouth of the river to clean waste water. The plan allows Chicago to stop its diversion of 2.1 billion gallons of water from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico everyday, and instead return the water the city uses to Lake Michigan where it belongs.
