THE SET UP [Wiki]

District 9 is an upcoming science fiction movie to be directed by Neill Blomkamp. The film is set for an August 14, 2009 release date. It takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa. A screening was shown at ShoWest, but other than that the movie has been kept private.

THE STORY [Wiki and IMDB]

Not much is known about the movie's plot. It is, however, known to be based on Alive in Joburg, a short film (produced by Neill Blomkamp, Sharlto Copley, Simon Hansen and Shanon Worley; Sharlto Copley also portrayed one of the interviewed policemen) about aliens landing in Africa and becoming slaves/migrant workers. In the movie they are called the "Non-Humans" and are forced to work by the fictional company, Multi National United (MNU for short).

I used to work in commercial production and I used it all the time for making tv spots for car dealers and furniture stores..it might be a good way to get noticed.

I'm not sure if you've ever heard of MusicboxMX, but they are a website which a lot of commercial production houses and networks use to get music for their commercials and tv shows. I'm not sure how you get your music on it but I think it's something that you could contribute from.

This movie was pretty good. It was really interesting to see something concerning South Africa since you never see the country in any media ever, and it's an interesting country.
