@Sagefrakrobatik I agree there has to be a military response to genocide, but is that response because of the genocide or another reason? I agree completely, there are always pros and cons, but which ones do we choose to acknowledge?

@TheRingLeaderMan123 Your right. American Foreign Policy is often contradictory. There was stability under Saddam's regime. That tends to be one of the positives. Women's educational prospects grew under Saddam's administration..While i dont agree with how the war was execute nor do I agree with some of the motivations but I do think there needs to be a millitary response to genocide.

@Sagefrakrobatik Saddam killed over two thousand kurds and yes, he was a tyrant. The US should try and destroy all genocidal tyrants, but in reality only do so when there are interests for them. 800 million people where killed in the Rwandan gencide, and the US and the world merely watched. Also, Iraq was a stable country, and now it is in the middle of a civil war, and now, we decide to "give" it back to the Iraqi governement. Everything is two faced...

I love liberals who argue against Iraq war but seem to forget the fact that Saddam murdered millions of his own people. Are we suppose to turn a blind eye to Saddam's dictorial genocide? I admit that there is a double standard when it comes to foreign policy i just believe we should get rid of all dictators who commit acts of genocide on there own people.
