There is no way they can build a machine like that. Their best bet is to design nano robots which can self replicate rather than creating an infinity complex nano factory to build them...

Not really. sub-atomic forces require so much energy that MNT can't mess with it. Fission and fusion, I fear, are likely to always remain "hot" processes. (Of course, we could discover radical new physics, but if current knowledge holds, the above will remain true)

Woah, This makes me wonder how you would program the tiny atom systems to do things. But i can't wait until they find out how :)
