What a load of tosh from Sir Pine when he states that they stopped bringing young people in the band and become an Incognito type band! totally untrue! What he seems to have conveniently left out of his testimony is that at the time they disbanded up and coming young musicians such as Jason Yarde, Robert Mitchell,Alex Wilson, Byron Whallen, Dennis Rollins, Larry Bartlett, Robert Fordjour,Harry Brown to name a few were in the band!

They were the most exiting and evolutionary band of musicians to come out of this country since Ian carrs neucleus, so why aren't they dominating and influencing the British jazz scene now instead of the boring stagnent third rate be bop tribute acts that fill the pages of jazz in London month in month out they must come back or were doomed to listen to the rythem changes and lee Morgan Coltrane Parker sycophants chewing the carcas of 50's Americana  down to the bone

what rubbish- Courtney gave many musicians the outlet that wouldn't have been there to show their talents?! jazz aint mainstream but courtney has given more big breakes then anyone in British Jazz- and i will admit that i wouldnt know coltrane/davis/chet baker and that if it wern't for courtney bringing me into jazz... but maybe thats what some people want- Jazz Police!

The real truth behind what happened to the original Jazz Warriors is actually completely different to what has been 'stated' here...there was absolutely NO stealing of the Band's name, NO 'conspiracy' to prevent young talent from joining, there was a definite development and growth of the Band causing it to go from strength to strength...it's demise arose from internal friction between certain members and the new management...nothing else...FACT.
