Caitlin: Here's evidence that I *did* (actually!) visit Australia... just got back yesterday. Love that Aussie accent!

Wish I were creative enough to post a proper response to your "MILO" video. I have an idea in mind; it'll be my first vlog posting if I ever do it. (I'm one of those "northern hemisphere folks," but I learned of Milo in Singapore [still in the northern hemisphere... just barely]. I've found a local source [here on Maui] and keep it stocked in my cupboard... right next to my Vegemite [yum!].)

BTW, before a few tidbits about quokkas, just want to say that YOU'RE AWESOME! :)

Quokkas are macropods (a category of marsupials) that are endemic to Australia, and rare--nearly extinct on the mainland, in fact, due to introduced predators. The quokkas in this video are on Rottnest Island, near Perth (in the south part of Western Australia). (Mostly, though, they're just cute!)

  • I guess when (s)he "attacked" the camera, I figure it was getting "revenge" for me disturbing its afternoon grazing. Although it didn't really seem to be very disturbed! (Just a silly title, really.) Hope you enjoyed the vidclip.

  • What exactly were they getting revenge for?

Oh, well. Thanks for putting this up! I love quokkas and am doing a report on them for school! They're all so cute!
