Ten years ago on November 20, 1998 a Russian Proton rocket blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Its mission was to put the first piece of the International Space Station (ISS) into orbit - a 12.5 metre, 19.3 tonne Zarya module. It was the first step for mankinds most daring space project.

  • no, sir!

  • well unfortunatly that aint gonna happen every is too paranoid to do that.. if they could combine all the countries together then maybe.. set their goals to conquer space rather than countries then we would acheive something. Think about it if we were to go commando on space we could easily colonize the Moon and Mars in NO TIME im for one government and go out to space baby sign me up

  • Hmmm, another report on the Russian space program, another ironic comment on the sad and depraved foreign policy of the US and its missile threat in Poland.

  • I hope for much much much closer ties between Russia and USA. How much better would programs like these could exist. If only world's money spend on military, could be put to finding out more about space and space flight. Sigh...

  • Nice one.

  • Out Source ... and ... lose the ability to manufacture.

  • On the shoulders of Russia and out of the pockets of the US taxpayer.
