Are you playing the version from the Suzuki book? My son played this and qualified for state but they said the Suzuki version wasn't acceptable. The only other version our local music store could find on the internet was edited by Joseph Vieland and the excerpt shows it in bass cleft instead of Bratsche. Would you have any suggestions?

I'm not sure about the metronome marking. You can figure it out yourself by matching your metronome to the video. I'm glad my video helped you. Thanks for watching.

Hi,what strings do you prefer for violas?.I have good experienses with Thomastic Dominants.

I have used Dominants. They are very good. I usually use Spirocore (manufactured by Thomastic). It's a steel rope core. I find the response is a bit better and the sound is actually warmer than a synthetic core. Most cellists use steel rope core strings. A lot of violists are using them now. For the A string, I use a Jargar (red label/heavy guage).
