'Out of Place' a collaboration between Tate Modern, London and Darat al Funun- The Khalid Shoman Foundation, Amman.

Clare Davies is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, where she receives an Erwin Panofsky Fellowship, she was awarded an Arts Writers Grant for 2011 from the Andy Warhol Foundation. The working title of her dissertation is: Figure and Ground: Producing National Subjects in Egyptian Painting and Photography, 1919-1936. Davies publishes regularly in Bidoun.
