@dave1927p It was funny bcuz a few scenes back the narrator told us the homeless guy Tom Jane's really an actor doin 2 movies for a major studio. 1 is a gritty drug film (shot cuts to a poster for the movie w/ Tom looking strung out) & he only got THAT role in exchange for doing a 2nd generic "popcorn" movie (shot cuts to a poster for the movie 'Homeless Dad' with Tom Jane shrugging beside the tagline, 'I just want my kids back')... the show goes on & a few minutes later, enters this scene lol.

i watched all AD episodes and i never found this funny. I simply don't get it. can someone please explain why it's "so funny"?

This is the best, most over-looked joke in history. Great tie between the homeless character and his catch phrase, as earlier seen on the "Homeless Dad" movie poster.

sadly all ages are all on this, it's an outlet to place all your anger and frustrations to the first whoever username in some forum board or god knows where they see, it's bullshit when they tell you it's all in fun, youre just too serious, like ok we get it you get kicks off pissing off people which equals to im angry and can't release it like a normal person do, lol like it's normal, shit's disturbing, technology has turn these kids to asocial geeks, hate to be the one to say it
In Jane's new series, Hung, he says the line verbatim as a shout out to his appearance in AD. 2nd episode I believe. Homeless Dad - I just want my kids back!

It's an inside joke for Arrested Development fans. If you haven't watched AD, you won't understand. So watch it. Seriously, it's the best sitcom to ever grace the small screen.
