As the G8 looks to address the world's economic woes, Brazil is one country they may not have to worry so much about. Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports from the industrial hub of Sao Jose dos Campos, on the Brazilian economic boom.

@louiethegreater Basically in Brazil is the same as here, except we don't have a huge unemployment rating, we're one of the biggest leaders in exporting, creating plenty of jobs, the country is not in debt at the moment, last year we got over 1.5 million new job openings.

@Wicke Off government, either directly or indirectly. Labor intrensic manufacturing has been outsourced. We still have manufacturing in the U.S. but what remained in the country is highly automated, state of the art manufacturing that employs very few people. Some manufacturing cannot be outsorced, such as food processing, and specialty items. In the area that I live in if govenment money would stop, there would be riots in the streets within thirty days. We lost half a millon jobs under bush.
