  • You chose the exact same word I was thinking of!

  • Let x=page,y=line,z=word

    ie.

    [(2x)(5)+20+y+5](10)+z-250

    = (10x+25+y)(10)+z-250

    =100x+10y+z

which is the answer(combine the PAGE,LINE AND ANSWER together

  • "Wowww... Impressive~" :/

I wonder how many people think this is coincidence.

  • nice job man :D

  • worked!

  • CONT>

    then you get: answer +20+line+5.

As I said, the number of the line goes into the answer. then you do answer of that x10. This is again to put the number of the word in the answer. At the very end, the +20+5 is multiplied by 10 and you have to substract 250 from the answer.

(20+5)x10 = 250.. subtracting 250 makes these steps completely useless but a nonsuspecting spectator amazed :P

    it's just: page x100 + line x10 + word

    It's just basic math :P

  • This works on any book line and word!

    This is why.

    page x2 x5 = page x 10

the page number still remains in the answer and the x10 is so you get another number where the number of the line can go.

  • Nice! If P, L and W are the numbers for the page, line and word then the final number (after all the math) is 100*P+10*L+W which gives a 5 digit number. 100*P gives the first three digits, 10*L gives the next two and W the last one!

  • it is a calculation

    works any numbers

  • Does this works with any book? XD
