One of the more unusual wild edibles, the young flowers (and leaves) of many species in the genus are a common vegetable. Edibility varies from species to species and they can be narcotic. Properly prepared they are a tasty addition to any meal. The beans are toxic and not edible.

  • @Januaryroad1 I teach classes near you all the time... Cassadega, Deland, Haulover Canal, Orlando, Jacksonville. The plants are the same. See my website for details.

  • Question, what you ever been posioned by accident? Also, thanks for showing us you actually eat the plant. Last year, i followed a different youtuber. and he said things were edible and were not. I was posioned and in the hosiptal for a week. Also, can you put a "Question" section in your videos.. and answer like questions in the videos? [; Thanks! I wanna be a expert like you!

  • @DenniszVideos Poisoned by accident? No, but I have been I'll twice because of bad water or soil the plant was in.

  • @teslacult I don't. There is nothing in my kitchen that is teflon coated.

  • @EatTheWeeds thank you for that info as well. I hadnt realy thought about the aspect of water being bad. And its such a common source of contaminants.

  • @EatTheWeeds Um, i don't remember. It was some kind of plant that looked like a strawberry bush i believe. but not hairy type of leave. He said it was a very edible plant.
