Ustad Akram Khan- Dhir Dhir Chalan....by Rishikesh Raut

Good old Days of my engineering when myself and shankar organized a concert at Bharat Natya Mandir in Pune in the memory of my Guru Pandit Sanjog Kuchekar disciple of Pandit Jaywanrao Mirajkar and Ustad Dawood Khan Saheb. We were very lucky to have Ustad Akram Khan of Ajrara Gharana performing in our concert. This Dhir Dhir chalan is one of the most difficult compositions to play on tabla. It is followed by "Dhik Dhina Tirkit Dhina Kayda " which is a spectacular presentation of speed together with clarity of sound and "laykari". The stuff is really awesome and mind blowing........ Rishikesh Raut.

@MrCristiaan : if u say no rhythm... i will ask u what u know abt rhythm ? the comment itself shows ur knowledge of rhythm. Probably the rhythm here is so complex for your brain that u dont understand it... first learn rhythm and then listen.

@MrCristiaan what rr1318rishi said was absolutely correct. Are you really that simple minded because Ustad lands on the sum beat of the taal witch proves that he is on beat. it seems that you don't have a sense of music!
