This is the first ever case of outdoor Augmented Reality on a building of this scale! And anyone in or visiting Munich can access it using Junaio (http://junaio.com/download)

Metaio gathered geo-locational information to visualize intuitive points of interest (POIs). No more random floating billboards in the sky- these new POIs go transparent in line-of-sight if real objects or buildings would keep you from seeing them in the real world- a first for the technology and the industry!!

Metaio was also able to use it's patented and unique outdoor augmented reality technology to overlay the renowned Marienplatz New City Hall in Munich with an animated "Glockenspiel" model. The famous 15-minute "cuckoo clock" performance takes place at only 11AM every day, but now everyone can see the reenactment using Metaio Augmented Reality.

Now developers can produce these types of experiences using the Metaio Toolbox: http://dev.metaio.com
