Here is a tour of my insect collection. It's on display at the Santa Fe Children's Museum, and thousands of visitors have enthusiastically commented that they have never seen another insect collection anywhere else in the world that compares with mine. Deeply flattering to hear that.
I started collecting local insects at age 10 in 1976. In 1995 I started buying exotic insects from dealers around the world, which is a great way to help save the rainforests.
My sincerest thanks to the insect dealers who have made my collection possible:

Nicholas Potter in Santa Fe (bookseller and honorary insect supplier!)
And a special thank you to Dr. David H. Kistner of Chico, California, for bequeathing the awesome Xixuthrus heros beetle to me. It was an honor to work for you!
Thanks also to BioQuip in Los Angeles and to Robert Waynee for custom-making my display cases.
It is VITALLY important for everyone to know that insects are instinctively the caretakers of our environment, and that they also instinctively and peacefully coexist. Ants don't hijack beetles and crash them into termite mounds because the termites build taller and stronger nests!
Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
