"Flexible prejudice, not rigid prejudice.... great rivers of knowledge that enhance each others where they mingle. That supportive intermingling is a sign that we are correct in our prejudice in science."

Peter Atkins, former Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford and author of over 60 books, discusses prejudice in the scientific enterprise at Beyond Belief '08.

  • thank you so much it has allways been my main concern. comprehension but i have come to a cross roads in my spelling and have decided to either do a coarse in english or create my ownb form of spelling with the intentionof hidding my short comming in an act of creativity. what do you thinkj should i just carry on being inept or make it into an art form.

  • Definitely go for the art form. It makes you stand out in a comments section.

"I have nothing but contempt for anyone who can spell a word only one way". That saying has been attributed to a number of people - Jefferson, Twain - but its wisdom rings true with you my friend.

  • i am but a mere shadow cast by the light of your brilliance but ime going to back of the compliments before we get acused of forming our very own mutual apresiasion society. you have given me an idea and i shall credit you presently. but ime going to make a video with a twist.

  • Never ever apologize for your spelling!! The content of your words is what is really important and in the world of youtube comments I find your bad spelling is like a Dali painting. I don't even consider it bad spelling. I think of it as creative spelling. It crackles of originality and individuality, and besides it's perfectly comprehensible.

    :-)

  • just had a realy abusive christian redneck abusing me and a pal quite unpleasant actualklly. but when i stopped to think asbout it all he had was abuse. his rational; was crap. his best argument was who invented the wheel? it doesn't even have relevance. not worth engaging slipspeed. left some derogatory poetry on my upabitoolate coments section but i wrote a repost without the expletives. after insults dont work he ran out of stamna. sorry bout my spellin.

  • Nothing I couldn't handle. Started what looked like a promising discussion with TogetherForPeace, but he stopped responding. Little skirmishes here and there. Spent that better part of an hour debunking Philos71's video 'Top Atheist Fallacy', and all I got out of it was a thank you! No rebuttal at all.

    You?

  • loved it mate eloquent and with that special thing. one idea leading onto the next clearly and obvously. marvelouse. had any bad fundies recently

  • I thought you'd like this.

    ;-)

  • apsolutly corect and observaBLY true. if what is objectivly varifiable is not the basis on which desision making takes place then it is imposible for all parties to enter into the process equitably. nice
