Since it's not an album release song, they obviously don't do it often, someone in the crowd suggested they do the song, and ed couldn't quite remember the lyrics.

Do you know anything about the history of this concert? The band wanted to do something spectacular for their fans. They allowed their fans to write favorite songs on a piece of paper and place in a bucket to be drawn during the concert. It was a full fan request show. Hard to learn 100's of songs by heart in a matter of weeks and ALL singers make mistakes when performing LIVE. He's unprofessional b/c he sang lyrics wrong? You must not attend many concerts where the performers sing live.

No I don't. I just say it's an error, because some say it is from the original lyrics or that he can change it whenever he wants to. And the song, at least in this video didn't sound properly. I don't really care about the concert itself, just that.

Agree with PhyOS. To those who disagree: yes, you can amend the lyrics, but what does 'Then nearly fourteen billion years ago the planet started' mean? Clearly a mistake.

Anyway, it's not seen as good to change a song's lyrics, though I'm pretty sure the problem is that he was confused, as the song is for a tv show (then they really can't change it).
