Theatrical trailer for the 1942 Universal Pictures' serial, DON WINSLOW OF THE NAVY, starring Don Terry, Walter Sande, Claire Dodd and Anne Nagel. Based on the popular comic strip by Lt. Commander Frank Martinek, U.S.N. (retired), this 12 chapter wartime serial followed Commander Don Winslow (Don Terry) and his fellow officer, Lt. Red Pennington (Walter Sande) as they battle by a ring of saboteurs -- masterminded by "The Scorpion", a nefarious enemy agent (Kurt Katch) -- operating from the island of Tangita in the South Pacific. The serial was so well-received by World War II audiences, that a sequel chapetrplay, DON WINSLOW OF THE COAST GUARD, again starrinbg Terry and Sande, was released the following year.
