This is one of the tunes taught to Gaelic harp students in the 18th century and before. I'm playing it on a HHSI student Downhill harp, with brass wire strings, copied from the harp made in 1702 by Cormac O'Kelly for one of the last of the old Irish harpers, Denis O'Hampsey. This video is part of my online Gaelic harp tutor at http://www.earlygaelicharp.info/tutor - live online video lessons are available using Skype.

  • Its called the early Irish harp and clarsach because the early harp was played in both Scotland and Ireland. Clarsach is the Scottish gaelic for harp.
