I have landed here - did it in 1988, then off to Manila. The takeoff from Tokyo was the WORST experience I've ever had in an airplane. We hit dead pockets on ascent and dropped drastically. Can't say how far but it felt like the plane fell straight down for close to 3 or 4 seconds at one point.

This is one of the best video clips taken from an aircraft of a big capital city I have seen. Well filmed, great views of the docks, sea and urban Tokyo - wonderful weather. I'm jealous...
i want to go to tokyo too... but i have to wait at least two years before i can go there again... but then I will stay for a year... (okay, i hope it will be possible...^^)
