Let me say kudos on your attitude concering how we should dialog. I see exactly what you are saying but I address it from another angle.
Anyways I do have a couple of questions for you since you are saying you are up for rational discussion. Are you still up for it?
-
I stronly agreee with you, when you say do we really need God to live a normal life. My question is, so if you are an atheits, thus you do not believe in God. and if you do not believe in a God, or in a divine being. How were we created? and what is the purpose of life?
-
Faith is not how hard you believe in something, it's how hard you want that something to happen/exist... for example: I have faith in world peace, however i seriosly don't believe it's going to happen, because of stupid "wars" like this one... Human nature won't allow world peace...

You cannot make up ridiculous concepts and pretend that they should be above criticism and should be taken as fact.
Supernatural does not exist, it's all a mirror climbing bullshit.
Supernatural = magic with is nonsense.
It has never been proven, it cannot ever be proven, it's useless even discussing it.

@saintpine An impossible concept?? Nothing creating matter, and matter filling in the gaps? I think that is a impossible concept. More ad homien attacks against people from 2000 years ago (people in the bible of course). How can you use the word "intelligence" in your statement and then tell me to give a definition?? You are trying to compare natural laws with supernaturals laws, that will not work. God is self existent, all knowing, this is God nature and the God concept.

says "I don't think I am a lucky one, my life was created for a purpose and intention."
What about your 60 brothers and sisters that your dad didn't give a chance to be created for a purpose and intention ?
He egoistically decided to not have too many children.
-
It's impossible to know, and it's stupid to fill the gaps with an even more impossible concept, especially when it comes from ignorant beduins 2000 years ago, where the most intelligent person wouldn't pass todays infant school.
Give a robust definition of intelligence.
can it exist without a container ?
can it exist without a structure ?
can it have always existed at the maxim level without step by step learning ?
what would this intelligence need to do be able to do work ?
-
@saintpine So, if intelligence didn't come before matter, what did?? Who or what, created the laws of nature?? You said that "no one could ever have the proof", and now you are saying "intelligence in NO WAY could ever come before matter. How do you know that if no one can have proof. Do you see the self refuting statements in your arguments! I don't think I am a lucky one, my life was created for a purpose and intention. I fill the same way about the earth.
-
Intelligence in no way could ever come before matter.
Intelligence is a process and hence needs some sort of base and container, it's work and consumes energy, it need to build up in some way, it cannot be always "all knowing".
The laws of nature need to be there before anything can use them to produce something.
You don't need much to prove you're the lucky one, you dad could have decided to not have kids and you would not be here, that simple, 99% of all species are extinct.
-
@saintpine Yea, just like the universe always existed or we happen to be the lucky ones, from random selection. How convenient is that.. Who said that I was trying to prove anything, you have to have faith to believe in God. What is more probable, intelligence or matter??
Good intent but good luck. I do, and have on my previous channel, have gotten sucked into the nit picking, but when you're on YT long enough, and you have to constantly defend your opinions it gets tiring. I couldn't tell you how many times flagging campaigns have occurred because certain Christians feel they have to protect the children of the internetz from people who are in opposition of their faith.

Yea it's kind of sad. Which is why I try to address these issues as objectively as possible. Both Atheists and Christians have bad discussion habits. So, maybe I'll get some decent response from the theistic community, maybe not. The "ball is in their court," so to speak. I'll try to ignite a respectful, open and decent discussion; but it's on others to sustain it with their positive participation. Thanks for commenting :)
