To really balance a rock is to balance it on a point as thin as your fingernail, onto a flat surface. See my "Balanced Rocks" video. A true master could balance two round rocks without grooves. We are not suppose to teach people how to balance rocks, but let them learn on their own. My child balances rocks without grooves. Some people just don't need them.

Thank you for your comment, Lwazi. I see it differently. I try to teach people the "secrets" of balancing rocks and encourage them to try it. It is not so difficult as it seems. It looks nearly impossible, but with some instructions people learn it quickly and have quick success. I want to tell people: It is much easier than it looks. Here are some helpful hints. Just try it.
