Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door - How to make a Zess Deluxe + Easy Money

How to make a Zess Deluxe, the next best recovery item to Jelly Ultra but it only costs 54 coins to make the Zess Deluxe.

What you need:

Horsetail - It can be found two screens to the left of Petalburg, and by hitting the blue-eyed stick 10 times.

Turtley Leaf - It is in the bushes next to Mayor Kroop's house in Petalburg.

Life Shroom - You may choose to get this wherever you want but I recommend getting it at Westside Goods in Rougeport for just 50 coins.

Mushroom - You may also get this one wherever you want but I like to get them in Petalburg for just 4 coins.

Now that you have all of your ingredients cook them like this: Mix the Turtley Leaf with the Horsetail to get a Healthy Salad. Next mix the Mushroom with the Life Shroom to get a Shroom Steak. And finally mix the Shroom Steak with the Healthy Salad to get your Zess Deluxe. It recovers 40 HP and 40 FP.

How to make really easy money while doing this: get a lot of all these items and cook them together into a bunch of Zess Deluxes and then sell those for 60 coins, because the total cost to make one of these is 54 coins, but by making a bunch of them and selling them you can make an extra 6 coins for everyone that you sell.

u make money alot faster buying and selling sleepy sheeps since u make 2coins per sheep and get shop coins that get u expensive items such as gold bars that sell for 100 coins ea

@jape7 I am aware of this, I actually replayed this game recently and I think a NPC says it sometime in the actual game. I was sort of just stating that you can sell these for more then it costs to make them though, not as a way to make money if you really need it.

Whacka Bumps can be sold for 50 coins... and you don't spend any money you just get it for free...

btw they are at Keelhaul Key.

@HOLAILoveCola I know about the Whacka Bumps, but the truth is there are only so many. I forget the exact number, but there's only a certain amount you can get before it stops giving them.

@superriku11 its around 10-15, i think its 12... (whaka bumps that is). Also you can make this a bit mre effective if you take 3 minutes more by going to twilight town and buying a life shroom for 40 coins,

@custom137 I think 15 might be the number, it sounds right... Anyways, many people have stated that you can get Life Shrooms in Twilight Town before, but I didn't show it for two reasons. One is that Westside Goods was closer. Two being that if you don't have access to Twilight Town yet, you can still follow along with the video. Although I'm not sure if you get the ability to cook 2 items before or after you go to Twilight Town, so it may not matter. I haven't played this since this video lol.

@nainto Once you get the key from under the fallen tree in twilight town, and the black key from the shed,

you need to go to the twilight shop and into the back. before you get the tube power-up, get all the items and look in the chest. there you will find the cookbook. go back to rogueport after defeating Doopliss, and talk too Zess. T. Once you've spoken with her, head to the trouble center, accept zess's trouble, and give her the cookbook. then you can make 2-ingredient items.
