  • Great review man! It was straight forward, simple, and got the main point across.

I have a couple questions for you.

    1. Is the sheath black or brown? From the look of the video, it looks brown.

    2. How is the grip on the knife? Is it too grippy (like G-10), or can it be easily manipulated into different grip positions (like saber grip, hammer grip, reverse grip, etc.

I envision this knife to be good for defensive/tactical usage, because of the wide sweep of the blade, and the jimping.

  • @matthias66 Thanks for watching!

    1. The sheath is brown.

    2. The grip is nice in my opinion. Not too grippy, not too loose. I haven't really experimented with changing the grip, simply because I don't have any tactical knife training. All I can speak for is that the knife feels good in hand and feels secure when using it.

I'm sure in the right hands (not mine LOL) this would work as a defensive/tactical blade for sure! Thanks again for the kind words. Take care.

  • great review, you mind me asking what exactly you disliked about the sheath...? looks ok to me...(although I with they'd made it black to match the knife better.) just curious, since u didn't go into detail on it.... :)

  • @ShawDAMAN Thanks for watching the review man! For me, the sheath is is too heavy for the knife. It just seems bulky and a little thick for the knife. I'm not a big fan of leather, I would rather the sheath be kydex or nylon, and the snap closure feels a little cheap. It will certainly work for the job of protecting the knife, just not the best design in my opinion.

  • @csrob6620 thanks for that! I guess it's partly down to taste, as I happen to love leather, but the other downsides you mention are understandable. However as you say it's an inexpensive knife and would be a good value even without the sheath.

PS I'm planning on making a video for your giveaway but just a heads-up I will be posting it under my secondary channel 'plectrumleaves.' I do that because the people who subscribed to my main one wouldn't be interested in knives and such ;P thanks!

  • @ShawDAMAN Absolutely, a great value knife with or without the sheath. Thanks for the heads-up on the contest entry, I'll keep an eye out for it!

  • how would this be for the kitchen?

  • @ElGrandeDawg HAHA! Yeah, I hear ya! Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching man!

  • @AppalachianFreedom Oh yeah! I actually picked this knife up at one of my local outdoors stores. I just found a few on ebay for around $25 (plus shipping).

  • 20 Bucks for a Kershaw? Sign me up! Great find man. Food prep is an excellent idea because there is nothing worse than a dull camp knife when your cutting up a lime for your Dos X, lol. Seriously, great find very nice review.
