I spent time in Cross around the time of the killing of Daniel Blinco , I think that was his name, at the corner of north street. What I found at the time was a community that was hardened, I could see it in their faces. Coming from Limerick , calm enough at the time, I was sadened, to see how the british occupation had taken it's toll over the years. But I danced in The Rangers hall till the Brits cut the power, we took to the streets and did or piece next day by the gravesides. Slainte
