How does it feel to lose to a MAC team bitch? It all ends this weekend.
By the way, Princeton wants its helmet design back.

I would, but you can't post links in comments for some reason. But I remember something classifying Minnesota as the biggest bullies, and in 2007 they got their comeuppance, losing to everyone except Miami of Ohio in a three overtime win, including a loss to North Dakota State. Anyhow, if I can find the link I'll e-mail it to you.

could you post a link to wherever you found that info. Thanks would just like to look at it.

Now answer my question: What good does it do Vanderbilt, Duke, and Washington to schedule the toughest teams they can find? I'll tell you, they're payday games. Rarely is a home and home scheduled. And believe it or not, Penn State was ranked #8 among schools not afraid of competition. The biggest patsy scheduler was Minnesota. That's why they go 4-0, then face real teams to finish 6-6 every year without fail.

Alabama had a home and home series that they postponed until 2009-2010, that's why Coastal Carolina and Eastern Illinois were added. I already explained about Syracuse (which is why 2009's OOC is lame), Temple as bad as they are is a traditional "rival" and Al Golden is a former PSU player, so that's why they're on the schedule every year. The only major school that schedules exclusively tough teams is USC, I give them props for that, but others schedule patsies.

Buffalo might have been a bad example. Well, what about Duke? They're known for scheduling tough teams and going on the road to take their lumps for a payday game. Scheduling a Texas, a Florida, a USC, and an Oklahoma out of conference exclusively doesn't make you a good team. And Penn State does not schedule pad usually. Syracuse was scheduled back when they were expected to be good, and Oregon State was added for more scheudle strength. Blame Bama backing out for Coastal Carolina.

Buffalo did NOT have a "tough" OOC. Look it up. And UW could have gone the PSU route and scheduled a couple of 1AA teams, and a few non BCS schools to have the appearance opf a few wins. It didnt happen. They scheduled tough and took their lumps...tough. They could back out just as any team could (ie Tulsa backing out of Tex Tech at the last minute, and Tech could only get 1AA UMASS). Penn State pads the schedule like this year in and out...just look at next years...it is terrible as well.
-
It's because when you suck, you're the one being scheduled. I'm sure Buffalo had a tough OOC schedule, too, but that's because they were the sacrificial lamb.

Penn State usually does NOT choke in bowl games. You seem to be confusing Penn State for Ohio State. Penn State has won 3 out of the last 4 bowl games, against the ACC champ, SEC East runner up (who gave the eventual national champion all they could handle), and Big XII 4th place team respectively, and two were won in dominating not-as-close-as-the-score fashion. And are you going to tell me Oregon State was a cupcake? They went 9-4 and beat USC. But you're right that the 09 schedule blows.
-
2009 season...akron, temple, NW, indiana, Illinois........give me a break....They play all these cupcake teams in regular season, then what happens when they play a bowl game?........CHOKE ! USC
