The main reason why Jim says everyone should become farmers is because there will be a big food shortage not in the distant future and in order to meet that demand we will need to harvest more to feed the more mouths! Obviously you fail to understand where Jim is coming from. Bailing out is just fuelling a further debt burden!

When was this interview? Everytime I see Jim Rogers, he tells people to become farmers.
If AIG was allowed to fail, Big Banks would have failed and all we would have is farming.
AIG is being taken apart and sold (similar to bankruptcy - but, without the sudden panic that would have occured if Jim Rogers was president and let all institutions fail.
Even GM is now being restructured(bankruptcy IS like restructuring.) - but, without the massive "sudden" panic effects.
Jim, you go be a farmer.
