It takes persistence of vision to make solid bronze fly. But Presidential sculptor David Adickes manages that trick with his "Winds of Change" homage to George H.W. Bush. The statue which was once located in a long walkway of Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport, with little to indicate the statute honors the man for whom the facility is named. Bush Intercontinental has since relocated the stunning sculpture in the well-lit and more prominent position now seen in this video. Yet the PA announcement about jokes being a federal offense is still on the airport speakers as it has been since September 11, 2001.
