lol thats the slow way. you can learn to speak without learning those characters. unless to plan on writing when you get there, I guess in case you get lost and some locals are not fluent in the national dialect lol. it's just like growing up as Hmong and never learning to write as long as you can speak it

lol there are Chinese classes in Sacramento. Even my aunt can teach you she's from Yunnan and has been here for almost two years. She currently going to freemont adult school to better her english. I was surprise huw much english she already knew.
