Re "biracial" hair: I have met biracial people with straight-up nappy hair. Can you say "Lenny Kravitz"?
Come ON, people...there is no such thing as "biracial" hair, just like (technically) there's no such thing as "African-American" hair. Hair is straight, wavy, curly, kinky, thin, thick, fine, coarse, etc.
When people stop fixating on stereotypes and take the time to get educated about their hair type independent of what the industry says, they too can have healthy hair.

You rock!
The black hair care industry counts on its customers not really thinking beyond what's on the FRONT of the bottle. That's why you have this interesting juxtaposition: Black women spending tons of money yet walking around with jacked-up hair.
Currently the only "black" products in my house are from Qhemet Biologics, Carol's Daughter, and a little shop in Brooklyn. :) The last thing I bought from the "ethnic" aisle of a big-box store was ORS Olive Oil lotion which I ended up giving away.

yeah, you're so right. and for me, black products mean they are from black owned companies..not this dark n lovely bullshit.
Even a black owned store I went to had a lot of these commercial brands..I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I can urge them to carry better and more natural brands of products.

If you want em bigger, shea butter and two strand twists was the best option for me when my hair was shorter.
