  • Awesome

  • Beautiful to see a man honestly repent and with such compassion and honesty. I'm not Mormon, but I am a religious studies student (UNM). Profound speech, sir. You make me want to believe in God. Thank you!

  • I WANT IN ON THE CONVERSATION!!

  • @hoosier4life555 I don't know whether this video is legitimate or not but to answer your inquiry. Bishops are allowed to have facial hair. Full time missionaries are to keep clean shaven and students at BYU cannot have facial hair (just part of the dress code).

  • I didn't think LDS Bishops were allowed to have facial hair. Is this a legit Bishop or a media production?

  • @tsfab4 And his analogy of animals is all wrong. If I were his Stake President, I would definitely have an interview with him to confirm his fitness to me a Bishop.

  • @tsfab4 As an aside, I don't think he will remain in the Church for a long time. But I hope I am wrong.

  • @tsfab4 I don't really know what he was trying to accomplish with this talk, but I don't think he is saying that the Church has to repent.

Hopefully he is thinking about the loss of people and the sadness of sin. Perhaps he is thinking about how mean people can be toward homosexuals.

I don't see anything in this talk that is contrary to the Gospel nor does it seem to encourage sinning.

BUT.. his condemnation of straight members is bigotry and he needs to repent of that.

  • Bishop Kloosterman, THANK YOU! I am a straight ally for my GLBT friends and was so hurt over the mistreatment of these children of God that I left the church over their inviolvement in anti gay legislation. Thank you for using your voice to open hearts and minds. Bless you.
