I used to have an '83 V-65, and all I can say is that it was pretty fast (although no where near as fast as my '01 ZX-9R). I never got a chance to run a V-MAX on it, but I did race my brother on his KZ-1000Z1R and took him by about 6-8 bike lengths. My bike was 100% stock where he had bigger carbs, ignition box, and V&H header.

@dramalss Now your'e going too far. I agree the V-Max is one bad bike and it has and always will beat the V65 Magna....but when you mention Ducati, that's a whole other world. Don't go there. I said don't go there. I'm telling you not to go there. You better think about what you are going to say before you go there lol but come back with some silly shit like you did in the last comment about it. You'd be better off not going there. I'm thinking I won't be the only one with a reply.

@dramalss in low gear mind you, while you need 6th just to keep up. well not keep up, but you know what i mean. you do what you can with that vmax. maybe you can ride with the harleys and make them look bad. you know, stick with the same, in a manor of speaking. let us V65 Magna guys know how it works out for ya. have a nice day.
