It would be so nice to live in Kyoto, even though I haven't been to Japan before, I'd love to get an appartment~

Your apartment is huuugee compared to the other apartments that we have seen. And my wife loves the gigi the cat and the totoro towels since they are her favorite animes. Very spiffy apartment indeed!

Hey, may I ask a few questions...
Are you teaching English in Japan? If the answer is YES, then please continue :D I only ask because you seem quite 'permanent' in it
So...If so is it in a public school?
I am thinking of teaching English there, and was thinking it might be wise to live in the countryside for the first year. Do you know how the money compares to teaching in a city school? It makes sense to me that you'd get paid more to teach in a rural area.
Also, your apartment kicks ass.

It's a bit warm right now, but's not too bad. I live in the countryside, so it's rather laid back out here. :P
Wow. It's huge. How much does that cost a month US?

Yes, and yes. I am employed through the JET Program, which has a set salary at all placements. It doesn't matter if you are in the middle of Osaka, or on a BFI island somewhere off the coast. You also cannot choose your placement (although you can request.) The application for the JET Program for this year is due in a week or two, so if you wanna try, you'll need to do it now.
Most private ALT companies pay the same no matter the location, JET just tends to pay more. ^_~
Good luck! :)

Is it absolutely necessary to have a bachelors degree to try out for jet program? I'm far from finished but I want to try it now.

Yes. You'll have to wait until you are in your senior year of college to apply.
